Sabzar Ahmad, the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, was killed today by the security forces. He was the successor of Burhan Wani.
Ahmed also known as Abu Zarar, was killed in an encounter in Pulwana (Tral district); security forces trapped him inside the 12 room building, which was surrounded from all the sides.
Along with him, 2 other terrorists were trapped too, out of which one was a Pakistani. Currently, details about them aren’t clear.
After military intelligence gave inputs, search operations and cordon was launched by Jammu and Kashmir police along with 42 Rashtriya Rifles. This happened near Pulwama district on Friday around 7.30 pm.
Then, around 9.15 pm, the security forces started firing. Heavy fire was exchanged by terrorists and security forces. This search operation is still going on in the Tral sector of Pulwama district, as it is believed that 3 terrorists are still hiding.
After the killing, people in the valley have resorted to stone-pelting, in order to protest.
