“Tubelight” was considered to be a hatke film, because it was for the first time that Salman played a guy with a developmental disorder. The film wasn’t received well by audience and critics; in spite of being released in over 4400 screens in India, the movie didn’t fare well.
In India, it opened to just 21.15 crores. On Saturday too, the numbers remained stable, but jumped by a crore on Sunday. Trade analysts made predictions that since it’s Eid, the collections will see a boost on Monday. However, instead of increasing, there was a decrease in the figure.
It is disappointing to see that Tubelight hasn’t crossed 30 crores on any day. Not able to digest right?
Here’s how much the film earned on the 4th day.
#Tubelight Fri 21.15 cr, Sat 21.17 cr, Sun 22.45 cr, Mon 19.09 cr [Eid]. Total: ₹ 83.86 cr. India biz.

The film minted 19.09 crores on Monday i.e. the 4th day. If it was a normal Monday, the figure was good, but this time, it was Eid holiday. The 4th day figure should have been more than 25 crores, but sadly, that didn’t happen. With this, the total has reached 83.86 crores. It’s almost nearing the 100 crores club now.
Day 1 – 21.15 crores!
Day 2- 21.17 crores!
Day 3- 22.45 crores!
Day 4- 19.09 crores!
Total- 83.36 crores!
To reach 100 crores, just 17 crores are needed. Guess, that would be possible on Tuesday itself, if the numbers don’t drop further. Generally, Salman films cross 100 crores in 2-3 days itself, but in this case, things are totally different.
Let’s hope for the best in the coming week.
