The violent incidents which are taking place in the name of cow protection should be stopped immediately. Recently, there has been a rise in the frequency of these incidents and people tend to react without even knowing the whole situation. They should remain calm and let the law do its work; however, it’s not happening and one more shameful incident has been added to this disgraceful episode.
A Muslim man named Usman Ansari has been assaulted and thrashed by a crowd of almost 200 individuals who burnt his home subsequent to finding a dead cow outside the house. The appalling incident took place on Tuesday in Deori’s Beria Hatiatand, Giridih, Jharkhand.
Reports suggest that the man and his family had been saved, as cops reached the location to their rescue when aggressive crowd was making an attempt of setting his house on fire. The man was immediately hospitalized and his condition is stable now.
The public was throwing stones at cops because of which the cops were compelled to open fire for scattering the mob. Here’s what R K Mullik, Jharkhand police spokesperson and ADG (Operations), stated,
“Our men and officials braved the crowd and immediately rescued Ansari and his family members. When the police tried to take him to hospital, there was resistance from the crowd. There was heavy stone-pelting. We had to open fire in the air.”
Mullik further added that nearly 50 cops had been injured due to stone pelting while an individual got injuries during police firing.
A large number of policemen have been deployed at the location to make sure that the situation doesn’t get worse. However, cops have not arrested anyone in this case so far.
