Today, Ramchandra Guha has lashed out at BCCI because the body “Publicly humiliated” Zaheer Khan, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble.
CAC consisting of Ganguly, Tendulkar and VVS Laxman had suggested that Rahul Dravid should be the batting consultant while Zaheer Khan should be the bowling coach, but this decision took an ugly turn, thanks to manipulations of BCCI.
Guha was infuriated because of the way Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan’s appointment as batting and bowling consultants was handled by the BCCI.
BCCI said that their names were mere “Recommendations”.
On Saturday, Ravi Shastri’s appointment as head coach was approved by the CoA, but there was no confirmation about Rahul Dravid or Zaheer Khan. As discussed in the meeting, ”Appointments of other consultants will be decided by the committee in consultation with the head coach”.
Since their appointments as consultants were put on hold, Ramchandra Guha felt that this was no less than “Public Humiliation”. Have a look at his furious tweets.
