Finally, Lipstick Under My Burkha and Munna Michael hit the screens yesterday. Both the films belong to different genres; while Munna Michael is an action dance film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tiger Shroff in lead roles, Lipstick Under My Burkha is a movie based on Women’s empowerment.
Munna Michael didn’t do heavy promotions, but still, the film got good reviews. On the other hand, Lipstick Under My Burkha was constantly under the scanner of CBSC for “Women objectification”. The film created a good buzz owing to these controversies, but sadly, the collections were very disappointing.

The film collected 6.65 crores on its first day. The collections are good, considering the fact that the film was released in just 3000 screens. Munna Michael is Tiger Shroff and Sabbir Khan’s 3rd collaboration, the first two being Heropanti and Baaghi. The first 2 movies were successful at the Box Office and due to this, we all have good hopes from Munna Michael as well. Weekend performance is expected to improve, but everything depends on reviews!

The movie collected just 1.22 crores on its first day. The subject of this film is very bold, but it seems audience isn’t impressed. The occupancy of the film was very low, which further affected the overall collections. Once again, the screen count was low in this case i.e. just 400 screens. This is also the main reason of low collections.
