Ferrari Doesn’t Allow Its Employees To Buy Ferrari Cars & Reason Will Surprise You To No End

Ferrari is definitely one of the most desired cars for car lovers and it’s not just about its looks or comfort, but also about the status that it gives to its owners as everybody doesn’t get the chance to buy a Ferrari, irrespective of the fact how insanely rich he/she may be.

Ferrari was started by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 and since then, its reputation and clientele are on a rise with its price too. A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold to a US-based businessman Craig McCaw in 2012 for USD 35 million (Rs. 225 crore), making it the most expensive car in the history.

Every organization gives special attention to its employees as they are the people who work day and night to make the company successful but surprisingly, Ferrari normally doesn’t allow its employees to buy a brand new Ferrari.

“The philosophy is that with such limited production and clients waiting so long to get their car, it’s not nice if the car is delivered to employees. It is client’s first.”

However, there are exceptions too and company allows only its Formula 1 drivers to buy a Ferrari. At present, there are two employees who have Ferrari – Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkon and you might be surprised to know that even they were not offered any discount.

Only 8,000 cars are produced every year, out of which the limited hyper cars are sold to very few on invitation. A list of 200 potential customers was made when the latest hyper car, LaFerrari Aperta, was put for sale. Each one of them was ready to pay the exorbitant amount of Euro 1.2 million (Rs. 9 crore approx) plus taxes but only few got it.

Enrico Galliera further stated,

“At the very beginning you receive applications from people who do not deserve, they simply have the money. ‘I am the king of something, so I deserve the car. Yes, but you are not a Ferrari client.’”

Well, it seems that Ferrari is only for legends!
