Ravindra Jadeja got a 1 match suspension; yes, he is suspended for the 3rd test match against Sri Lanka at Pallekele. This is because he violated the code of conduct while playing the 2nd test match.
Although Jadeja scored a brilliant half century in the 2nd test match and took 5 wickets in the 2nd innings, he couldn’t celebrate the happiness of being the man of the match, thanks to this suspension.
We reported about how Jadeja threw the ball back at Dimuth Karunaratne, the opening batsman of Sri Lanka, even though he was on his crease. After this throw, Jadeja’s total demerit points became 6 in 24 months i.e. 2 year period.
The throw was indeed a dangerous one as it could have hit the batsman and injured him.
