The festival of Raksha Bandhan signifies the strong between a brother and sister; it’s truly beyond any religion or caste. This Pakistani woman has proved it! Yes, we want you to meet PM Modi’s Pakistani “Rakhi-Sister”. We always see debates on India V/S Pakistan, but now this gesture has highlighted the positivity between both the nations.
According to reports by ANI, this woman from Pakistan Qamar Mohsin Shaikh says that since 22 years, she has been tying Rakhi to our Prime Minister. The Pakistani lady said,
“I have been tying ‘rakhi’ to Narendra bhai for the last 22-23 years, excited to do it this time too.”
Originally she’s from Pakistan but has shifted to India after her marriage. Shaikh fondly calls him “Narendra Bhai” and says that like every year, she was excited to tie him a Rakhi this year too.
Shaikh remembers that she first tied Rakhi when PM Modi was an RSS worker. She was very happy when Modi called her 2 days back despite his busy schedule.
She said,
“This time I thought PM Modi must be busy but two days back he called up, I was very happy to know that; started preparing for Raksha Bandhan”
Expressing pride over her brother’s achievements, the lady says,
“When I first tied rakhi to Narendra bhai, he was a karyakarta but with his sheer hardwork and vision he has become the PM”
Good to know that Modi is brother to a woman from the other side of the border.
