Opening day collections of Akshay Kumar and Bhoomi Pednekar starrer “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” weren’t that good. We were surprised because Akshay Kumar movies always get a very good opening. It collected just 13.10 crores on the Friday and we surely expected something more.
However, things were different on Saturday as the film took a huge jump! Looks as if positive word of mouth has helped the movie grow. The theme of the film is very interesting i.e. “Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and this is what has generated interest among the people.

Wow, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha saw a 40 percent growth on Saturday and earned 17.10 crores. This is amazing; it proves the power of Akshay Kumar.
With this, the film has managed to get an impressive total of 30.20 crores. On Sunday, the movie is expected to show some more growth. Moreover, 15th of August (Tuesday) is a public holiday and it might prove to be favorable for the movie.
Day 1 – 13.10 crores!
Day 2 – 17.10 crores!
Total – 30.20 crores!
It has beaten Jab Harry Met Sejal in terms of 2nd day collections; the SRK starrer had earned 15 crores on the 2nd day while this Akshay Kumar film has earned 2 crores more.
It Toilet: Ek Prem Katha shows further growth on Sunday, it might enter the 50 crores club on the first weekend itself. What’s your prediction?
