After years, Mumbai is under waist-deep water. It has been raining cats and dogs since morning and the rain is so heavy that people can’t even enjoy or have a good time.
Today, Mumbaikars are advised to stay back home as there is thigh-high water in most of the places. It was reported that there’s going to be a high tide at 4.40 pm today and police have requested people to be at homes and avoid going to beaches or lakes.
Even vehicles are half dipped in water and people are finding it difficult to walk on roads. When it’s Mumbai and rains, local train services are the first ones to get hampered. As expected, railways are paralyzed and tracks are filled with water. In case you feel like going out, we would strictly say a “NO” as there are traffic jams all across the city. Offices have been shut and employees have been asked to go back home early.
Such a situation happened on 26th July 2005 and after this, we are witnessing the same today.
Here’s what CMO tweeted;
