Not many people value relationships over money. Money is the priority for many and they can go to any extent for it; in the verge of doing so, they often lose out on relationships. But in this world, there are also some people who give priority to love and relationships rather than prioritizing money.
Japan’s Princess Mako is one of them. She is willing to give up on her Rs 256 crores worth of property and royal status in order to marry her commoner boyfriend. Yes, she will soon tie the nuptial knot with her university classmate Kei Komuro, who had won her heart with his sincerity and smile.
Both Mako and Komuro (25) made their relation official in front of the press and described how they started dating each other. It all started at the International Christian University of Tokyo, where both of them graduated.
Mako says, “I was attracted by his bright smiles like the sun.”
They both communicated with each other during a students’ event. Mako admires Komuro’s strong-mindedness, sincerity and hard-working nature.
Love got deeper!
Due to studies, they were separated. Komuro was studying in the US while Mako was studying in Britain. After returning, Komuro proposed to her in the year 2013. Mako introduced Komuro to her parents and even they approved him.
Komuro is a common man and works as a legal assistant. He’s glad that the princess is willing to renounce her kingdom and property for the sake of his love. They are happily engaged now but the wedding date is not fixed.
Princess will be losing her royal status!
Emperor Akihito (83), Mako’s grandfather, would be giving up his throne next year i.e. 2018 and he would be succeeded by Crown Prince Naruhito, his eldest son. Mako’s father is Emperor Akihito’s second eldest son and so, he won’t be taking the throne as of now.
In Japan, women aren’t allowed to succeed the throne and so, after marrying Komuro, Mako would also become a commoner. As the Imperial House Law, Princess Mako will have to renounce her status as the member of royal family. Thus, she would have to give up on $40 million worth of property.
It’s indeed heartwarming to see how love matters so much! Princess Mako has indeed set a great example and internet is loving her for that.
