As per a report in Daily Post, Gurmeet used to sell a regular Papaya for Rs. 5000 and a single green chilly for 1000 rupees. It doesn’t end here. The price of brinjal grown at Gurmeet’s farm varied from 1000 to 2000 per piece depending on the size and he used to charge Rs 1000 for 5 grams of peas.

Gurmeet also used to charge two tomatoes for two thousand rupees. According to the news, Bhangidars was responsible for delivering the vegetable to the followers’ house. Bhangidars use to run a Naam Charcha Ghar of Gurmeet Ram Rahim. This business of Gurmeet Ram Rahim was running under a well-designed plan. Different Bhangidars were deployed for delivering the vegetables to rural as well as urban areas.

Now you will ask, why people bought it at so big prices and how he managed to manipulate them at this level?

Well, when it’s about God and religion, the feelings of humans don’t see any bound. Gurmeet touched the softest chord of his followers’ heart and soul and managed to con them in every possible way.

His followers used to buy these vegetables at sky high prices thinking that even tasting it will be highly beneficial for them. They stated that their father had planted these vegetables with his own hands. By eating them they would remain healthy.

Reportedly, the followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim were so blind that everyone wanted to taste the vegetables grown at his farm. Even if a member of the family got a single pea by paying a thousand rupees, he considered it as a blessing. Dera vegetable market.
