There are millions of fans in this country who want to become an international cricketer but the way is really difficult. They have to face some really hard challenges and sacrifices and still fail to make in the final team.

However, Kulwant Khejroliya has finally done it. Coming from a middle-class family it was very tough for Kulwant as he couldn’t concentrate on his passion freely.

His father was a small time grocery shop owner in a village named Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan and the family always lived in lack of resources. It was because of the lack of money he had to do a job to continue studies.

Even though he was passionate for Cricket and wanted to practice it more, his circumstances pulled him back. Kulwant also worked as a waiter in Goa for some time. But little did he know that this very step will become a catalyst in forming his career as a cricketer.

A friend of Kulwant in Goa noted his potential as a cricketer and encouraged him to take it up as a full-time career. On the advice of friend, Kulwant joined LB Shastri Club in Delhi but told parents that he is in Ahmadabad to join a friend’s transport business.

As he was coaching in Delhi, his coach noticed Sajay Bharadwaj noticed that Kulwant didn’t even have the professional spike shoes. When questioned about the same, Kulwant narrated him his whole story. After this, his coach got him under his wings and started his professional training.

In a matter of some time, Kulwant won many hearts with his performance and played for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2017. He was then picked by the Mumbai team the same year.

He also performed strikingly well in IPL which finally made a way for Kulwant in the Indian team. He will now finally live the dream to represent India in the series against Australia starting from 17th Sept.
