Drugs are one of the most damaging things available in this world as they carry the ability to destroy not only individuals but also their families. Once addicted to it, people can go to any extent to satisfy them. They fail to differentiate between right and wrong. One such incident in Punjab has shaken humanity to the core.
A husband who was addicted to drugs and required money for purchasing it purportedly allowed seven friends to rape his wife. This didn’t end here and they ashamed humanity further by clicking her naked photos.
It was in the month of June that the 22-yr rape survivor lodged an FIR and subsequent to a probe into the matter, all the accused are booked under IPC Section 376 for rape by Dakha police. The drug-addict husband is also held for criminal conspiracy under IPC Section 120B.
All the accused including husband as well as the woman hail from the similar village. As per the complaint to SSP (Ludhiana Rural), the victim’s husband was a drug-addict and for buying drugs, he took money from some men of the village. He couldn’t return money and instead, let them rape her. The couple tied knot in the year 2011 and has a kid too.
According to cops, lewd photos of the woman were clicked by the accused at the time of rape so that they could blackmail her later. She couldn’t tolerate the act and registered a complaint against them. Every accused who raped the woman was a drug-addict too!
A probe was ordered by SSP (Ludhiana Rural) after the woman’s written complaint. Resultantly, Jagraon’s DSP (detective (D)) carried out an investigation after which a case was filed.
As per acting SHO, ASI Nagar Singh, raids are conducted to detain the accused who are not yet detained.
Where is the world heading? These kinds of incidents are very shameful and unfortunately, we stumble upon something of this kind on a regular basis!
