Yes, there’s one specific Telugu letter which is crashing iPhones not only in India but globally. Beware of this letter; you might receive it through messaging apps in iOS 11.2.5. Not only iPhones, but even Macs and iPads are being crashed.
People have labeled it as the “Text Bomb”; it is reported that this letter is coming through WhatsApp, Gmail or Facebook. The moment one receives it, his phone gets unresponsive or gets hanged. Here’s that letter;
Social media is filled with people talking about this bug. So, if you too are having the same version of iOS, you are on a high risk of the bug. There are also reports that say, “Apps which receive the Telugu letter refuse to function properly until it is removed from the app completely, which usually works by deleting the entire affected conversation.”
How to remove it?
As of now, there’s no official solution of this. People came across some hack, in which they could get a control over their device, but it’s not necessary that this solution will work for all. It is said that if the friend sends the same message to you, you can click on it and delete the entire thread.
Apple is working on a fix and very soon, it will update all users about the same. It is working on the beta version.
