Fans of John Cena and Nikki Bella were quite surprised as well as happy when the former suddenly proposed marriage to long-time girlfriend Nikki.
This happened in April last year during Wrestlemania 33 live broadcast and with this, John contradicted his own statement of not getting married in his life.
May 5 was fixed as the date of marriage; however shockingly, John Cena cancelled the wedding and got separated with Nikki just before three weeks from the wedding date.
The news of separation was announced on the official Twitter handle of Nikki and Brie, Nikki’s twin sister.

“After much contemplation and 6 years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple.
While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”

Previously, John Cena said that he and Nikki don’t get much time to spend together and have to stay away from each other for “months at a time” due to their busy schedules. Nevertheless, he has not opened up on their separation so far.
Just to inform, John Cena was earlier hitched to Elizabeth Huberdeau and their marriage lasted for 3 years (2009-2012).
