2 rape cases i.e. Kathua and Unnao created immense hatred in our minds. We so wished we could stop incidents like these.
PM Modi was highly criticized for his silence over those two cases. Social media was full of comments for him; they felt that PM should take a stand soon and should implement strict measures.
Even international media questioned the Prime Minister’s silence over the matter. We know that PM has always been very open on such issues and is famous for his oratory skills too.
The latest one to criticize Modi is none other former PM Manmohan Singh. Often, people have criticized Manmohan Singh over his silence on matters. He is even called “Maun Mohan Singh” at times.
Now, Manmohan Singh expressed that he had to bear such comments all his life.
When asked to comment on PM Modi, he said,
“But I think the Prime Minister should follow his own advice to me and he should speak more often. Through press (reports) I know that he used to criticize me for not speaking up. I feel that the advice that he used to give me, he should follow it himself.”
He also said that Modi should speak at times, because people feel that no stern action would be taken against them.
