Virat Kohli Came Out With A Pink Bat To Show His Support For Cancer Awareness

During the fourth match between India and Australia,which happens to be the last,in the Sydney Cricket Ground(SCG),Virat Kohli came out with a bat,which has a pink handle and he was also wearing pink gloves.

Every year,Australia organise a Pink Test,which also happens to be the New Year Test.This is to support and spread awareness about breast cancer,which is consuming many every year.

This Pink Test is to raise funds,in honor of Jane McGrath,wife of former Australian player Glenn McGrath,for the McGrath foundation.

Sydney Cricket Ground hosted it’s tenth Pink test,starting from the year 2009,when South Africa was playing with Australia.Since then they have been religiously following the tradition of hosting this special test match.

During this test match,our Captain,Virat Kohli was seen supporting this cause by carrying a bat with a pink MRF sticker on it.He was there to show that he is also in this noble cause of spreading the awareness.

Even pink boundary lines and wickets were used on the ground that day,in support of the cause they are trying to make people aware of.

That day both the teams were also wearing black armbands,in memory of Bill Watson and Ramakant Achrekar,both of whom passed away due to age related illness.
