Bollywood produces largest number of films every year. But, all films reach us that may have bold language, contain vulgar scenes, religion issues, etc.
Thus, we get you a list of films that was banned by our Censor Board banned and we didn’t get to watch!
1. Bandit Queen was based on Phoolan Devi and this movie by Shekhar Kapur movie was said to have sexual content, and abusive language.
2. Fire of Deepa Mehta showed lesbian relationship among 2 sisters-in-laws of a Hindu family.
3. Kama Sutra – A Tale Of Love was considered ‘unethical’ & ‘immoral’ by the censor board for audiences.
4. Urf Professor by Pankaj Advani had few ‘vulgar scenes’ and even ‘bold language’ was used in the black comedy.
5. The Pink Mirror showed trans-sexuality and this led to movie ban.
6. Paanch of Anurag Kashyap had lots of violence, insensitive language and also drug abuse.
7. Parzania film won a National Award, but its excellence was not enough for the Gujarat political parties, where it was banned.
8. Sins film had obsession, struggle and lust that was not liked by the Catholics. It also had some nude scenes.
9. Firaaq was on the true incidents of the riot-torn in Gujarat. This movie was said to hurt the sentiments of religion like Hindu and Muslim.
10. Black Friday was based on the Bombay Bomb Blasts, but it got a stay order from The Bombay High Court.
