The Indian cricket team is all set to play the first final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand which will be played from June 18 to June 23 at Southampton. Presently the Indian squad is serving their quarantine period at Mumbai and on June 2, they will be leaving for England where they will have to serve quarantine for 10 days. Team India won’t be getting much time for adapting in the conditions of England but New Zealand will definitely have an upper hand as they will be playing two test matches against England before the finals of the World Test Championship 2021.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the set of new rules on Friday for the finals of the WTC. As rain may disrupt the game, the ICC has kept a reserve day for the test match and it has also been announced that if the match ends in a tie or a draw, both the teams will be the joint winners. Some former cricketers gave their reactions on these rules but the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer was once again at his funny best while responding to these rules.
