Bike Taxi Can Be Your Savior During Rush Hours & Traffic, Never Be Late To Work Again

No matter if you book your cab hour before, if you are stuck in traffic, there is simply No way out to reach the destination on time. But Mumbai based entrepreneurs has found out an antidote for this as well, Bikes and scooters are available for commuting through the busy streets of Mumbai.

Bike taxi’s has already started working on full swing in Mumbai, just within a week of its launch they have already catered to 200 people and Android based App is always buzzing with the call for service. Manoj Maheshwari, 47, and Vikram Lakhotia, 26 launched, Hey Taxi on Monday, and Manoj whose son is studying his masters in the US in developing Android apps from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, has designed the APP, which has already being downloaded by 450 users.

The only constraint is that the service is offered to the boys only, for the sake of safety issues. The owners plan to rope in Lady bikers and then extend the service. “We currently have 45 vehicles registered. Keeping safety in mind, rides are offered only men. The company is in the process of getting women bikers on board too,” said Lakhotia.

The passengers can choose between a motorcycle and a bike, and commute accordingly. The service is free for the month of June, after which they will charge Rs.30 for first 3 Km and thereafter Rs.10/km.Also, they take half the time as compared to four-wheeler taxis to reach the destination.

“We launched this service because we want to help users dodge traffic, We’re Mumbaikars too and know how much valuable time is lost commuting in rush hour.” said Manoj Maheshwari.

Now this is a real treat for all the Mumbai Wala’s. Just wait till women bikers join in and flourish the business even more.
