MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper, is still loved by his fans a lot and Indian cricket fans badly miss him whenever they get to remember that India hasn’t won any ICC trophy since 2013. He is the only captain to win the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy and still he is one of the most humble persons you can ever meet in your life.
Apart from his calm and cool attitude, the legendary cricketer who still plays in the IPL is also known as one of the best finishers of the world. MS Dhoni enjoys a huge fan following all over the world and meeting their favourite cricketer is a dream of every MSD fan.
Recently a person named Chandan Sinha got lucky when MS Dhoni seated next to him in a flight and because Chandan is also from Ranchi, Mahi didn’t take a nap on the flight which he usually does. Chandan posted photos of himself with Dhoni and also of his ticket of the IndiGo flight. He wrote that he is living just 1 km far from MS Dhoni’s house in Ranchi for the last 20 years but he never bumped into him. He further wrote how a seat change gave him the best two and a half hours of his life and he and Dhoni talked on various issues during the journey.
Chandan Sinha wrote in the caption, “His house was less than a km where I lived for 20 years. Pride of our town. A huge fan of his game, yet never bumped into him. But God had it all planned.
Who knew that the last-minute seat change from the last to second row would turn out to be the best two and half hours of my fan life.
I took my seat and settled in. Just a little later I heard a known voice asking me to let him pass to his window seat. A surreal encounter with Mahi, was an absolute dream come true. Shellshocked, took me a moment to realise what was happening.
His humility made the moment even more incredible. On hearing that we are from the same town he let go his usual habit of taking a boosting nap during his flights.
We had two hours of fascinating conversation. From his entrepreneurial ideas to life lessons his wisdom knows no bounds.
From sharing about his favourite cuisines to vacation plans. From his love for Ranchi to his love for automobiles. How he drops his daughter to school every morning when in town. His calm demeanour reaffirmed why we call him Captain Cool.”
