Muhammad Rizwan’s Epic Response On Simon Doull’s ‘Cramps’ Query Will Leave You In Splits

The Pakistani cricket team is having a great campaign in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 as yesterday it registered a remarkable victory over Sri Lanka after chasing a huge target of 345 runs in the match which was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Simon Doull stands by his controversial statement about Mohammad Rizwan

The toss was won by the Sri Lankan team and it decided to bat first. Well, there is no denying the fact that they certainly batted very well as they posted a huge total of 344/9 on the score board. Though Sri Lankan opener Kusak Perara got out for a duck yet another opener Pathum Nissanka played a gritty knock of 51 runs (61 balls, 7 fours & 1 six) and stitched a partnership of 102 runs with Kusal Mendis who played a brilliant knock of 122 runs in 77 balls and his innings included 14 fours & 6 sixes. Another batter Sadeera Samarawickrama also played a beautiful knock of 108 runs for which he faced 89 deliveries and his innings included 11 fours & 2 sixes so he helped his team in posting a big total.

The Pakistanis also didn’t have a great start as they lost Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam early but Abdullah Shafique (113 runs, 103 balls, 10 fours & 3 sixes) and Muhammad Rizwan (131 runs*, 121 balls, 8 fours & 3 sixes) stabilized the innings and also kept the score board ticking. Though Sri Lanka managed to get Abdullah out yet Rizwan stayed there till the end until his team won the match by 6 wickets. With this, Pakistan scripted history as this is the highest ever run chased in the history of the World Cup and for his magnificent innings, Muhammad Rizwan was adjudged as the Player of the Match too.

However, there was one incident which made some people including commentator Simon Doull smile. This incident took place in the 37th over as Rizwan sent the third delivery for a six but then he fell on the ground in an animated manner suggesting that he has got a cramp and Simon Doull who was doing commentary at that time stated that Rizwan should get into the movies.

During the post-match presentation, when Simon Doull asked Muhammad Rizwan about the cramp, he said, “Sometimes it is cramp, sometimes it is acting” in a funny manner.
