Mohammed Shami, the Indian pacer has made a great impact in this ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 despite the fact that he has played only 2 matches till now. India is the only team which is still unbeatable in this tournament and in the last two matches, Mohammed Shami has played a significant role in India’s win. Against New Zealand, Shami took 5 wickets and in yesterday’s match which was against England, he played an important role in India’s triumph as he took 4 wickets.

The Indian cricket fans are going gaga over Shami’s performance and the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was also full of praises for his bowlers. On the last ball of his 7th over which was the 34th over of the England innings, Mohammed Shami clean bowled England batter Adil Rashid with a beautiful delivery and Virat Kohli got so happy that he was seen blowing kisses to Mohammed Shami during the celebrations.
During the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma said that they were 30 runs short but the bowlers bowled pretty well. He added that this is something which is not seen every day. He also stated said that with the experience that his seamers have, he can depend on them for breakthroughs which they gave him in yesterday’s match. Rohit Sharma further added that his bowlers used the conditions to their advantage and bowled at the right spot to create doubt in the mind of batsmen.
India was put to bat first by England and Rohit Sharma-led team could manage only 229/9 in 50 overs which was certainly not a big target for the England team but the Indian bowlers bowled beautifully and wrapped up the whole England team for 129 runs and as a result, India won the match by 100 runs. Rohit Sharma was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his knock of 87 runs.
