The Indian cricket team played pretty well in the second test match against England as it won the game by 106 runs and leveled the 5-match test series by 1-1. The second test match was played at Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam and winning this match was a necessity for the Indian side after losing the first test match by 28 runs.

While India won this test match, the Indian batting was not upto the mark and if we leave out the batting performances of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Axar Patel, then other batters failed in playing a big innings despite getting good start.

The skipper Rohit Sharma was also not able to make an impact with the bat in this test match and needless to say, the Indian team will certainly like to have their best test batter back in the team in this situation. Yes, you got it right, we are talking about Virat Kohli who had pulled out of the first two test matches citing personal reasons.

There is no update as to when Virat Kohli will return, even the head coach Rahul Dravid had no answer when he was asked about King Kohli’s return. Rahul Dravid stated that it will be better to ask this question to the selectors when they will announce the team for the remaining three test matches. Dravid said that he believes the selectors are the best people to answer this question.

After the second test match, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and the chief selector Ajit Agarkar were seen having an intense chat and it is being speculated that they were talking about the team selection for the next three matches.

While there is no clear information about Virat Kohli but his close friend and former RCB teammate AB de Villiers confirmed that Virat is fine and he is spending some time with his family. ABD further said that Virat and Anushka’s second kid is on the way and family is priority for everyone and Virat shouldn’t be judged for that.

The next test match will be played in Rajkot and it will start from 15 February so the selectors will have some time to select a perfect team.
