The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is getting a lot of praises for the manner in which he led India in the 5-match test series against England which India won by 4-1 and it is not just the seniors, the juniors are also mighty impressed with him.
Recently, Ravichandran Ashwin took to his YouTube channel and narrated what happened when he had to leave the team midway in the Rajkot test as his mother was very ill. Ashwin stated that his respect for Rohit Sharma increased tremendously because Hitman not only ensured that Ashwin got to meet his mother by arranging a chartered flight but also sent a staff member in order to take care of the Indian spinner.
Now, the young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal has heaped praises on Rohit Sharma and said that he will keep learning from the skipper. During an interview, Yashasvi Jaiswal says that it is really good to have Rohit Sharma in the dressing room and it is really great to play under his leadership. He further says that he has many moments with Rohit Sharma but he is not going to disclose them and keep them with him instead but the way he supports a player throughout his journey, the way he talks and bats, it is really wonderful to see all that in a leader.
There was a time when Yashasvi Jaiswal was having a problem in playing square drives against Joe Root and Shoaib Bashir and at that time, Rohit Sharma advised Jaiswal to play straight which helped him a lot. While talking about the advise, Yashasvi stated that the biggest quality of Rohit Sharma is that nothing misses his eyes, he knows everything, he is fully aware of what is going on and he is certainly on the next level. Yashasvi also adds that it is fun being around Rohit Sharma.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged as the Player of the Match in the 5-match series as he scored 712 runs which included two double centuries.
Yashasvi Jaiswal expressed happiness on the manner in which he played and said that he enjoyed playing under pressure, he added that he trusts himself and backs him which is of great help to him.
The Indian cricketers are now gearing up the IPL2024 which is going to start from 22 March.
