The IPL match which was played yesterday between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals was one of the most thrilling encounters of the tournament as the winner was decided on the last ball of the match.
The match was played yesterday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and after winning the toss, GT decided to bowl first. RR put up a good show of batting as it scored 196/3 in their stipulated 20 overs with the help of some beautiful knocks by skipper Sanju Samson (68 runs, 38 balls, 7 fours & 2 sixes) and Riyan Parag (76 runs, 48 balls, 3 fours & 5 sixes).
In response, GT started well as the openers Sai Sudharsan (35 runs, 29 balls, 3 fours & 1 six) and skipper Shubman Gill (72 runs, 44 balls, 6 fours & 2 sixes) produced a partnership of 64 runs for the first wicket but it was the lower-order batters, especially Rahul Tewatia (22 runs, 11 balls, 3 fours) and Rashid Khan (24 runs, 11 balls, 4 fours) who clinched victory for their team.
Though the excitement of fans was at the top level during the match, one thing that irritated them the most was the repetitive commentary of commentator Harsha Bhogle.
Harsha Bhogle is habitual of saying, “what a ball” whenever a bowler takes a wicket and he does the same thing when Kuldeep Sen dismissed Abhinav Manohar by knocking his stumps down with a beautiful delivery.
