Karan Johar is one of the most famous Bollywood celebrities and it won’t be wrong to say that he is also one of the busiest persons as he not only produces and directs movies but he is also seen judging reality shows and hosting talk shows and other than this, he is also an entrepreneur.
As far as Karan Johar’s relationship status is concerned, he said in an interview recently that he hasn’t been in a relationship for a long time now and as of now, he is single. However, he has two kids, Yash and Roohi, the twins whom he welcomed in this world in 2017 through surrogacy and he is parenting them with the help of his mother Hiroo Johar who is 81 yrs old.
The kids turned 7 yrs old in February and now KJo is facing problems as the kids have started asking about their mother. Earlier the kids thought that Hiroo Johar is their mother but then they were told that she is their grandmother. In the interview, Karan said it is a modern family and unusual circumstance and in order to deal with this situation, he is taking help of the school counsellor.
Karan Johar said in the interview, “It is a modern family. It is an unusual circumstance, so now I am also dealing with the questions about ‘whose stomach was I born in? But mumma is not mumma really, she is my grandmother’. I am going to school, to the counsellor, to ask how we navigate the situation. And it is not easy, being a parent is never easy.”
The “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” director also admitted that he called out his son for gaining weight but he soon regretted it. He said, “It breaks my heart but when I see my son consuming sugar and I see he’s put on weight more than he is, and I am so paranoid for him. I don’t want to say it to him because this is the age I want him to live life. I want him to be happy and joyous because he is a happy child. But I can see the genetic… I can’t call it a flaw, I get it from my mom and I know he’s getting it from me.”
He further said, “I can see it, I can he is going to walk into that phase and he is going to combat it. I tell him to go play sports, go play football, go play cricket, do all the things that I didn’t do and I am like I shouldn’t be this parent. This is not who I wanted to be. I wanted my kid to an individual of his own choice. I am finding myself really struggling from saying insensitive stuff to my own children.”
