In that episode, Shah Rukh Khan humorously expressed his interest in casting Alia Bhatt opposite him in an Indian adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. The show was going fine until the host Karan Johar posed an intriguing question.

Karan asked SRK which Bollywood actress he would choose for the Indian version of the controversial film, known for its themes of ‘chains, handcuffs and masochism’. Without hesitation, Shah Rukh quipped, ‘Alia’. This playful exchange left Alia Bhatt smirking as Shah Rukh lightly grazed her shoulder, while Karan Johar reacted with visible discomfort, remarking, “I’m just imagining”.

The interaction has recently resurfaced on Reddit and gone viral instantly. Fans and viewers have had mixed reactions to the comment. One fan shared, “I’m a die-hard SRK fan and even I thought this was pretty… weird.” Another fan added, “It’s common for guests to name the person next to them when asked such questions because it invites a reaction.” Despite the light-hearted banter, many found the exchange uncomfortable, leading to further discussions online.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan recently appeared in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki”. He is also gearing up for “King”, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, in which he will share the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan. The film which is co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures will reportedly showcase Shah Rukh in a powerful role as an underworld figure. Additionally, fans eagerly await “Tiger vs Pathaan”, which will see Shah Rukh and Salman Khan together on screen once again.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has several upcoming projects, including “Jigra”, directed by Vasan Bala, in which she stars alongside Vedang Raina. She is also working on “Alpha” in which she will share the screen with Sharvari Wagh.
