The famous stand-up comedian, Munawar Faruqui is all set to make his web series debut with First Copy, a show which has been written by him as well. The teaser of the series was unveiled during Eid 2024 and now Munawar Faruqui and his co-star Krystle D’Souza have finished filming the series in Mauritius. They shared this exciting news with fans on social media, marking the end of the production phase.

Speaking about the experience, the Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui said this in the media statement:
“This journey has been nothing short of incredible. Wrapping up First Copy in Mauritius feels surreal—like the perfect culmination of all the hard work, creativity, and passion poured into this project. The character, the story, and this breathtaking location made the experience truly special. I’ve grown so much as a performer and as a person through this process. May Allah guide and bless us all. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created.”
Directed by Farhan P Zamma and produced by Salt Media and RVCJ, First Copy is set in the late 1990s, and it focuses on the underground world of film piracy during the DVD era. Munawar plays a morally complex character navigating this shadowy scene.
Krystle D’Souza, known for popular TV shows like Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Brahmarakshas, has also made a name for herself in web series and films, including her debut web show Fittrat in 2019 and her film Chehre in 2021.
