The ki*ling of the class 10 student sparked massive outrage. Hundreds of people including grieving parents gathered outside the Seventh Day Adventist School in Khokra. Anger soon spiraled into violence as the crowd vandalised property, damaged vehicles and even attacked school staff. Communal tensions also escalated, as the accused belonged to a minority group while the victim came from a Sindhi family.

Relatives of the victim expressed their grief and demanded justice, warning that without strong action, such tragedies would continue. The boy’s parents alleged that other students may have supported the attacker and further accused the school of trying to cover up the crime by cleaning the bloodstains. Police have assured that if these claims are proven, all those responsible will face consequences.

Adding to the growing concerns, a parent revealed that she had repeatedly complained about unruly behaviour at the school but no strict measures were taken. According to her, some boys regularly carried knives and phones, used vulgar language and harassed girls, both on buses and within school premises. She claimed such incidents had been occurring for years without proper intervention.

The incident not only exposes a shocking act of violence but also reveals deeper cracks in the school system, where lack of discipline, oversight and accountability is putting students at risk.
