The conversation around safety and dignity in the entertainment industry has resurfaced after television actor Manya Anand shared a troubling experience involving a man named Sreyas, who she says is associated with Tamil star Dhanush. Manya revealed in a recent interview that Sreyas, whom she believes to be Dhanush’s manager, approached her for a film opportunity but repeatedly pressured her for what he referred to as “adjustment”, implying inappropriate demands in exchange for work.
Manya Anand explained that when she questioned why she was expected to give any form of “commitment”, the man continued to push back, reportedly asking her whether she would refuse him even if the offer was connected to Dhanush himself. She said she tried to make it clear that she wanted no part in such expectations, yet the pressure continued.
According to her, Sreyas even sent her the location of Dhanush’s production house, Wunderbar Films, and encouraged her to meet him there. He also forwarded scripts to her, which she chose not to read because she no longer wished to engage with the project. Manya expressed frustration over how artists are often put in positions where they must defend their dignity instead of simply doing their work. She shared that this pattern needs to be acknowledged so the industry can move toward safer practices for everyone involved.
At this point, neither Dhanush nor Sreyas has made any public statement regarding Manya’s allegations.
Meanwhile, Dhanush is preparing for the release of Tere Ishk Mein, starring Kriti Sanon. Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, the film marks Aanand L Rai and Dhanush’s second collaboration after Raanjhanaa. The filmmaker recently reflected on how the story grew from lingering emotions they had carried since their last film. Tere Ishk Mein is set for a worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on November 28, 2025.
