In a shocking development, his first wife Ranjana has filed a formal complaint at the Women’s Police Station in Supaul, Bihar, on February 10. According to reports, she has accused Udit Narayan, his two brothers – Sanjay Kumar Jha and Lalit Narayan Jha and his second wife Deepa Narayan of serious criminal acts. Among the allegations is a claim that her uterus was removed without her knowledge or consent as part of a larger conspiracy.
As per reports, Ranjana stated in her complaint that she only discovered the alleged medical procedure years later while undergoing treatment. She said she married Udit Narayan on December 7, 1984, following Hindu customs and rituals. In 1985, Udit reportedly moved to Mumbai to build his singing career.
Ranjana claimed that she later learned through media reports that Udit had married Deepa Narayan. Whenever she confronted him about this, he allegedly misled her and did not give clear answers.
She further claimed that in 1996, Udit and his brothers took her to a hospital in Delhi under the pretext of medical treatment. According to her complaint, that was when her uterus was removed without her consent. She also stated that Deepa Narayan was present at the hospital during that time.
Ranjana has also accused Udit and Deepa of mistreating her when she visited Mumbai in 2006, claiming she was denied entry into their home. She said she then went to her in-laws’ house in Nepal but was allegedly insulted and asked to leave. Since then, she has been living at her parental home.

Speaking to the media, Ranjana expressed that she had repeatedly been given assurances that were never fulfilled, which is why she approached the police. She said she is currently unwell and needs support but has not received help. She also mentions that the matter is already in court and that Udit has appeared there but she feels no action has been taken.
Meanwhile, Anju Tiwari, the officer-in-charge of the Women’s Police Station in Supaul, confirmed that the case is under investigation. She stated that an FIR will be registered based on the findings.
As the investigation continues, the allegations have sparked widespread attention and raised serious questions.
