Former England batter Nick Knight, while speaking during the live broadcast, described Sachin Tendulkar’s appearance as a huge morale booster for the Indian team. He said it was wonderful to see the cricket legend supporting the women’s team on such an important occasion and felt his presence would inspire the players as they chased a historic victory.

A major contribution came from Yastika Bhatia who scored a brilliant 113, helping India build a commanding lead with a historic century.
With the ball, India continued their dominance by reducing England to 130/6 at stumps on the third day, leaving the hosts with a difficult task on the final morning.
As play resumed on the last day, India required only four wickets to secure their first ever women’s Test victory at Lord’s. The combination of an outstanding team performance and the surprise visit from Sachin Tendulkar made the occasion even more special.
The memorable moment highlighted the growing support for women’s cricket in India and added another emotional chapter to what was already shaping up to be a historic day at one of cricket’s most famous venues.
