Websites That Showcase Child Explicit Video To Be Banned Only

With all the news of banning on adult sites, this one is the latest to join in the bandwagon. The Centre has just made news that it was the not so prompt action by the Ministry of Home Affairs that compelled the government to block 857 adult sites in the country.

The Ministry of Home Affairs failed to take action against the websites which showcased content not meant for children, which is why the Union decided to end all of it. But as for now “The ministry has taken action on the basis of the list of adult websites showing child pornography as provided to the court by petitioner, Kamlesh Vaswani” said Additional Solicitor General Pinky Anand.

So for all those who were praying that the Government moves the decision, here is a relief to all. It will be only the sites that put up sexually explicit video showing children to get banned.

It is an issue for the government to deal with. Can we pass an interim order directing blocking of all adult websites? And let us keep in mind the possible contention of a person who could ask what crime have I committed by browsing adult websites in private within the four walls of my house. Could he not argue about his right to freedom to do something within the four walls of his house without violating any law? said bench headed by Chief Justice of India.
