Kohli lately made an announcement about his being United Arab Emirates Royals team’s new co-owner in IPTL (International Premier Tennis League). The captain of this team is Roger Federer and IPTL’s second edition will be starting in December this year.
Excited to be part of the @iptl Season 2! Hoping my team wins the title. Go @UAERoyals #Co-Owner pic.twitter.com/nernpi6XEk
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) September 10, 2015
Sachin is a great fan of Roger Federer as well as tennis and showed his happiness for Kohli but at the same time, made up his mind for some humor.
Hey @imVkohli, I want to play!
— Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) September 11, 2015
At this, Kohli also got into the mood of fun and tweeted the following because it was tennis, not cricket:
Not sure you have what it takes @sachin_rt paaji!
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) September 11, 2015
Well, this was just for fun!
Besides, Virat also expressed how much he loved tennis when he told media, “I have always followed tennis with great interest and today I am glad to be part of a professional tennis league team.”
Virat continued, “I am a huge fan of Roger Federer and with him joining the UAE Royals, my decision to be on board with the team was firm. The UAE Royals feature some of tennis’ greatest players and I am confident about the prospects of the team in the IPTL. I am also excited about the format of the IPTL, which I am sure will drive further interest in the game of tennis.”
However, Twitter users did not seem to get the fun right and they started trolling Virat for this:
Users soon started reacting on this tweet by Kohli and abused him:-
@imVkohli @sachin_rt Oh Bachhe He is ur BAAP .. he has Everything that it Takes and u r not even 1% of GOD …

Even after understanding that they are talking about Tennis, Sachin’s fan were disappointed on Kohli’s tweet:-

Some asked for Virat kohli to clear the Joke:-
