RJ Sukriti went on the streets of Delhi to find out what people of the city think about JNU and Afzal Guru but what she actually came to know gave her the shock of a lifetime. It was surprising on her part to know that they did not have even basic idea of what’s happening in their place, especially when the matter grew to such an extent that it became a National issue.
No doubt, they condemned the activities which took place in JNU but when RJ asked them a very simple question, “Do you know who Afzal Guru was?”, their replies were extremely shocking and would burst you into laughter! One girl confidently said that he was a martyr like Shaheed Bhagat Singh and she read it in a comment on social media, whereas another girl was of the opinion that Afzal Guru was a Kashmiri poet and things got funnier!
