Salman Khan, who has hosted the popular show ‘Bigg Boss’ for 6 straight years is reportedly going to host this upcoming season too. The producers have agreed to his demand of 30 percent price hike for season 10.
Earlier, Salman used to be paid around 6 to 8 crore per episode. However, now he has demanded a 30 percent hike for continuing to host.
As per reports, it is stated that the demand of Salman is being fulfilled as the producers don’t wish to let him go, as he is the main attraction of the show. A source stated that the only condition of Salman was an increase in his fee. He is the only reason for Bigg Boss getting high TRP and the makers do not wish to compromise on that factor. Therefore, they have given up to his demand.
In season 9, we had seen Salman Khan joking about producers paying him a small amount for hosting the show. Earlier, it was stated that Salman didn’t wish to continue with Bigg Boss since he was busy with the production of a The Farm, a Swedish show’s Indian version with Lulia Vantur, his rumored girlfriend. Bigg Boss season 10 would be seeing several commoners as participants and also several celebrities. A campaign has been launched by Colors channel wherein candidates who are interested need to send a 3 minute clip about themselves to the channel.
