On Saturday, Dabangg star Salman Khan had been announced as Indian contingent’s Rio Olympic Goodwill Ambassador and at the time of announcement, Rio star athletes and Olympic medalists like shooter Apurvi Chandela, hockey captain Sardar Singh, boxer Mary Kom etc. were present.
Salman also seemed to be delighted with this as he maintained, “I am honoured that Indian Olympic Association has chosen me as the goodwill ambassador for the Indian contingent for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.” He added, “It is a matter of great national pride that our athletes are performing better and better at the Olympic Games and I think we should all join hands in giving them every support and cheer for them so that Rio 2016 becomes our best Olympic tally.”
However, it appears as if the news did not go well with some individuals who made up mind to raise a voice against it, like Aishwarya Rai!!
Yeah, that’s right!! It seemed to be totally unacceptable on the part of common public of India that a person like Salman Khan deserves this honor! Even though he is very much popular, yet he has been a controversial figure and there’s not the least doubt about it!
Even social media users couldn’t hide their feelings and expressed disbelief over the matter!
