Since a very long time now it is said that ‘Raees’ the SRK movie would clash with ‘Sultan’, the Salman movie at box office. However, things are different now and SRK is in no mood to clash with his buddy and that too on Eid. Now, Shah Rukh has been looking out for a new release date for the movie. He wishes to get the film released on a festive date but isn’t finding one since all are booked in advance.
Sources have said that SRK is planning to postpone the movie to next year i.e 2017 on 26th of January. However, on that day, there is another film ‘Kaabil’, from Hrithik Roshan’s home production, which Sanjay Gupta has directed. SRK has just talked about it with Roshans. There are hardly any choices left and SRK cannot prolong it further. Soon, he has to finalize things.
Sources even added that earlier July date was considered, but since Varun Dhawan’s movie ‘Dishoom’ is all set for a release that time, SRK changed his decision. Later, rumors were spread that Shah Rukh is looking for a Christmas release but ‘Dangal’ of Aamir Khan has already booked that slot and he doesn’t want to clash with Aamir Khan. There were even reports in Bollywood that Raees will release on Diwali and will clash with Ajay Devgan starer ‘Shivaay’.
Reason behind delaying the release
This may come as shocker to many because this is first time in SRK’s bollywood career that he doesn’t want his movie to clash with any other movie. Looks like last clash of his movie Dilwale with Bajirao Mastani has left a bad taste and he doesn’t want to take any risk this time with Raees.
