Finally people have started speaking up over the spoof video controversy of Tanmay Bhat. The video had gone viral and had made the internet go crazy. He made so much fun of Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar that FIRs were filed against Tanmay.
Finally, Lata Mangeshkar has broken her silence over this matter. She said
“Nothing affects me. I’ve been through so much; I’ve faced so many hurdles in life. At an age when other girls play with dolls I was out of the house trying to find work as a singer. I learnt from a young age that work is the only thing that matters”
The singer says that just 1 thing has hurt her, otherwise she wants the chapter to be closed. Lata Mangeshkar hasn’t seen the video yet since she has bigger things to focus on.
She also adds
“Log bahot pareshan ho gaye. Mujhe yeh bura laga. I don’t like the idea of people getting hassled because of me. I want to assure all my well-wishers that these (spoofs, etc) are very small matters. There are far greater issues in life. We must not give undue importance to those who thrive on maligning people. I am sure they have their reasons for doing what they do.”
We should try learning something from Lataji! Yes, she has handled this matter so calmly without creating any controversies.
