But don’t you want to know who the ‘Success kid’ is? Well, he is Sammy Griner, who has turned a 10 year old now.
Basically from Jacksonville Florida, Sammy was just 11 months old when his mom Laney clicked this picture of his playing on the beach and posted the same on Flickr. Since then, the picture has driven the internet crazy. Thousands of memes have been made using his picture. This fist pumping baby is a symbol of determination and small successes. This particular photo was posted in the year 2007 and since 2010, the photo has gone viral.

Well, this ‘Success kid’ has got success in all terms. Earlier, his mom wasn’t happy with the photo going viral, but one incident that occurred, changed her thoughts forever. Sammy was 8 when his father needed a kidney transplant. They launched a GoFundMe campaign for raising money in order to meet the medical expenses. $75,000 is what the Griner family needed, but thanks to Sammy’s success picture that the collections surpassed the goal! Yes, they collected $9,000 in just 5 days, can you believe that? This is when his mother was super-duper happy and realized how popular the photo had become! See her tweet!
