This Is How Smriti Irani Reacted When Someone Called Her Dear!

Smriti Irani, our ‘Dear’ Union HRD minister has entered into a verbal spat on Twitter with Ashok Choudhury (Congress), the education Minister of Bihar.

It all started when Choudhury addressed Smriti as ‘Dear’! This word made Smriti Irani very furious. Actually, Ashok Choudhury chose Twitter for asking Smriti about the new Education policy! This is what he tweeted!

Dear @smritiirani ji, when will we get New Education policy..?
When will year 2015 end in your calendar..? https://t.co/X20LhUsvCt

— Dr. Ashok Choudhary (@AshokChoudhaary) June 14, 2016

Now, Ashok had addressed Smriti as ‘Dear’ and she wasn’t going to take it lightly. See what she tweeted!

mahilaon ko 'dear' keh ke kab se sambodhit karne lage Ashokji ?

— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) June 14, 2016

Yes, she asked him an explanation for the same. Ashokji, who is smart enough had an intelligent explanation for it. He tweeted;

Not to disrespect but educate… Professional emails start with "dear". @smritiirani Ji Kabhi mudde pe jawab dijiye, don't circle around it.

— Dr. Ashok Choudhary (@AshokChoudhaary) June 14, 2016

He said all professional emails start with ‘Dear’ and also advised Smriti to answer to the point, instead of making it an issue.
However, this was not it, he also accused Smriti of shifting blames to others!

"@smritiirani ji has learnt a lot from Modiji…Fake promises and shifting blames to others for non-delivery is lesson1 in Sangh's book"

— Dr. Ashok Choudhary (@AshokChoudhaary) June 14, 2016

Smriti made a series of tweets in reply:-

all my communications to you or any other person start with 'adarniya' but since you are now communicating allow me 1/3

— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) June 14, 2016

Bihar is possibly the only state which has not done grass root consultations for the education policy 2/3

— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) June 14, 2016

have not received state views on education policy neither did you in your 1 on 1 meeting with me give any suggestions 3/3

— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) June 14, 2016

Someone just tried explaining her that ‘Dear’ is a common practice to address people, but Smriti, instead of accepting her fault, pointed out the grammatical fault in the post! She tweeted!

Here’s a look at some of the tweets that Irani sent out to various people addressing them as dear – it includes Bhupendra Chaubey, Tata Sky, Coomi Kapoor and The Times of India.

Mr. Rangarajan just reminded Smriti about the letters written by her!

She’s also told one @RudraHindu to not ‘dear’ her. We guess Irani can dear people, but people can’t dare dear her.

@RudraHindu dnt 'dear' me Sir its obvious u hav no clue either about me or my work ind organization, won't waste my time gvng explanations.

— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) January 30, 2012

So guys, what do you think? Did Smriti overreact to this situation or was her view correct? Can she address using “DEAR” to anyone but no one else can dare to use “DEAR” in front of her name because she thinks it is wrong to use “DEAR” in front of a female? Even we are wondering what is the correct use of “DEAR” because after all she is HRD minister and whatever she is saying could be correct.
