A would be bride in Rampur, married a guest who was attending her wedding, out of anger. 23 year old, Indira was about to exchange garland with 25 year old Jugal Kishore, when he fell to the ground because of epileptic fit. When Indira and her family came to know about the hidden medical history of the supposed groom, they immediately called off the marriage.
The bride promptly took the decision to marry, her sister’s brother in law, Harpal Singh in the same venue. Dressed as a guest, Singh readily agreed and became a groom out of sudden. Meanwhile, Kishore was rushed to the hospital, but when he regained his conscious, it was too late. His would be wife had become somebody else’s.
Out of the fear of embarrassment and destitution in front of family and friends, Kishore pleaded to marry him, but all his efforts went to vain. Indira was adamant about her decision. On such a heated moment, the scenario changed wherein, utensils were thrown at each other and the scene became ugly and violent. Jugal Kishore and his family, later filed an FIR against the bride and her family, but ultimately had to withdraw on the intervention by elder family members.
SHO, Milak police station, RP Solanki said “Both families have amicably resolved the matter, the complaints have been withdrawn. Kishore and his family have now returned in peace to Moradabad.”
