The cricket fans are pretty excited as the 3-match ODI series between India and Australia has started from today and the first ODI will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
While India has won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 by 2-1, it remains to be seen which team proves its dominance in the ODI format. What makes this contest more important is the fact that the ODI World Cup is scheduled to be played this year in India and it will help both the teams in preparing for this mega event. Both the teams are quite strong in the ODI format and the former cricketers including Aakash Chopra is pretty sure that this ODI series will be a competitive one.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra states that he feels the Aussie ODI squad is a good one and this team will certainly push the Indian team to the extreme. He further adds that the series won’t end in 3-0, it will definitely end in 2-1 with either team winning it.
Aakash Chopra further talks about the Australian squad and says that David Warner and Travis Head make a great opening pair and the presence of Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh along with Glenn Maxwell makes their middle order sturdy. Glenn Maxwell is making a comeback after a long time because of injuries and he will also like to perform well in order to ensure his berth in the ODI World Cup squad of Australia. According to Aakash Chopra, Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green in the Aussie lower order make the team stronger as they can do power hitting whenever it is needed.
