The Indian cricket team registered a convincing victory over the Aussies in the second T20I of the series which was played at VCA stadium, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The match was rain-affected; it was reduced to 8 overs per innings and Rohit Sharma led the team from the front as he scored fiery 40* in just 20 balls. His innings included 4 fours and the same number of sixes and he was also adjudged as the Player of the Match for his superb innings.

The star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback on the field after recovering from the injury and took an important wicket of the Aussie skipper Aaron Finch who was heading towards a big score in a great style as he scored 31 runs (15 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) before getting bowled out on the bowling of Bumrah. The Indian pacer bowled a beautiful Yorker to take the wicket of Aaron Finch but the manner in the latter applauded Bumrah’s delivery, it made everyone praise the Aussie player.

As far as the match is concerned, the hosts won the toss and decided to bowl first. The visitors put up a total of 90/5 on the score board with the help of brilliant knock of Aaron Finch and Matthew Wade (43 runs not out, 20 balls, 4 fours & 3 sixes) in 8 overs.

The Indians got a good start as openers KL Rahul (10 runs, 6 balls, 1 six) and Rohit Sharma put up a partnership of 39 runs for the first wicket in 2.5 overs but after KL Rahul’s dismissal, India lost three more wickets quickly (Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya) but skipper Rohit Sharma kept the momentum going. When Dinesh Karthik arrived on the pitch, India needed 9 runs of the last over and he finished the match in a wonderful style by hitting a six and a four in the 2 balls that he played.
