AC & Sofa Installed In Martyr’s Home For CM Yogi’s Visit & Removed Minutes After He Left

There is no denying the fact that Pakistan has never been an ideal neighbor to India and going by its behavior at the present time, there seems to be no chance that it will learn from its mistakes. It has become Pakistan’s habit to violate cease-fire across the border but on May 1, it crossed all the limits of cruelty once again, when it not only killed two Indian soldiers but also mutilated their bodies. This heinous act is said to be carried out by the Pakistan’s Border Action Team which crossed the LOC in Jammu & Kashmir’s Poonch area and attacked the Indian patrol team. BSF head constable Prem Sagar and Naik Subedar Paramjeet Singh were left behind; BAT killed them and mutilated their bodies. Prem Sagar’s family refused to perform the last rites until CM Yogi Adityanath visited them but later, they agreed after the CM spoke to them.

On Friday, the family members of martyr Prem Sagar were in for a shock when district administration of Deoria set up a window AC, sofa and carpet at their home just before the visit of CM Yogi Adityanath. But they got a bigger shock when all these fittings were removed within few minutes after the CM left.

Ishwar Chandra, son of Prem Sagar, said,

“Around 1 pm on Friday, officials came and installed an AC in our drawing room, placed a sofa and spread out a carpet on the floor. The CM was in our house for about half-an-hour and soon after he left, they began dismantling the AC and took away everything else.”

Here’s what brother of the martyr soldier, Daya Sagar, stated,

“Officials took away the carpet, sofa and AC soon after Adityanath left our residence….Within 15 to 30 minutes of his departure, everything was gone.”

However, there has been no official word from Deoria administration on this matter. DM Deoria, Sujeet Kumar, has not spoken over it while Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Ramkesh Yadav, told that the AC and other items were fitted by the PWD department and ADM (Administration) Virendra Kumar Dohrey and Chief Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, were responsible for looking after arrangements for the CM’s visit.

CDO, Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, said on phone,

“If a guest comes for a visit, we have to make arrangements. We have to take care of the facilities that he is accustomed to. However, I also had another duty that day and so, I was not present all the time during the CM’s visit. I do not have information about when the AC and other stuff were removed from the house.”

Not only the family of Prem Sagar but also the citizens of the village were quite surprised when the roads were cleaned and drains were covered just one day before the CM’s visit.

On 12th May, CM Yogi visited the family in Tikampaar to offer his condolences. He gave a cheque of Rs. 4 lakhs to the family along with an FD certificate of Rs. 2 Lakh. At the same time, he also assured that he would send a recommendation to the central government for allotting a gas agency to the family. What’s more, he also promised to ensure employment for Prem Sagar’s kids after the completion of their studies.

Other than this, CM Yogi also promised an inter college for girls in the memory of the martyr as well as a shaheed smarak (martyr’s memorial). Besides, he assured them that a road will be made to connect the village to the main road.

However, we feel that AC and other stuff should not have been set up in the first place and if they were placed once, they should not have been removed. What do you say?
