India is now at the third number in the list of countries where the growth of start-ups is the fastest. There has been a growth of 40% in YOY basis and as per Nasscom, by the end of 2015, the number of start-ups will surpass the count of 4200.

“We are the fastest growing eco-system in the world – so the first big wow number. Compared to last year, we have moved up from being the fourth largest ecosystem in the world to the third largest. If all goes well, next year by this time we should be the second largest,” as told to NDTV by NASSCOM President Chandrasekhar.

As per a report published in The Hindu, by Nasscom and research firm Zinnov, around 1200 technology start-ups took their first breath in the year 2015 and out of these 1200, 50% deals in e-commerce, consumer services and aggregators business.

Every day 3 or 4 start-ups are set up with capital investment of worth $5 billion. With 72% of founders less than 35 years old, India has become the youngest start-up nation worldwide and there has been a 50% increase in the number of female entrepreneurs in 2015 on YOY basis.

Bengaluru has been ranked 15 globally as the Indian entrepreneurs are attracted most towards it for setting up their business.
