The International cricket has made a comeback in Pakistan after a long time in the form of the Independence cup which is being played between the Pakistani team and the World XI side. The Indian players are not a part of this World XI and we all know the reasons for that pretty well.
The host were defeated in the second T20 which was played at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore, courtesy to Thisara Perera’s aggressive knock of 47 runs which included five sixers.
However, Pakistani players got to play in front of their home crowd after a long time and this made them a little sentimental. Especially in the second T20, the stadium was fully packed and crowd was also excited to see their favourite players in action.
Shoaib Malik, who is also a part of the Pakistani team for the ongoing Independence cup, took to Twitter to thank the people of Lahore. He shared a pic and tweeted, “Lahore, tussi great ho! today your support gave all Pakistani cricketers including me goosebumps. Feels so surreal #PakvsWXI”

Ahmed Shehzad, teammate of Shoaib, praised him by calling him “great”, as he surpassed Umar Akmal to become the highest run getter in the T20s for Pakistan. He tweeted, “Lhr toh great hai hi but tussi bhi bht great ho.. what an achievement in this historical series.. congratz bro”
