Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he is one of India’s most lethal bowlers, delivering a masterful performance in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s clash against Bangladesh at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 24. Bowling four overs, Bumrah picked up two crucial wickets for just 18 runs.
He struck early by dismissing Tanzid Hasan Tamim on the second ball of his first over and wrapped up his spell by sending back Saif Hassan, who had scored a patient 69 off 51 balls, on the second ball of his final over.
India won the match comfortably by 41 runs, with other bowlers also contributing significantly. Kuldeep Yadav impressed with 3 wickets for 18 runs in his four overs, while Varun Chakaravarthy sent back two Bangladeshi batters, conceding 29 runs.
The match had a lighter moment as well. Bollywood actor Raghav Juyal, along with Bobby Deol, was interviewed by Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan who works as a presenter for Sony Sports. During the interaction, Raghav Juyal asked Sanjana to recite one of his series’ dialogues for Bumrah and she charmingly obliged, saying, “Akkhi duniya ek taraf aur mera Bumrah ek taraf”. The clip, shared by the channel on X, quickly went viral, bringing smiles to fans.

Earlier, Bangladesh’s stand-in captain Jaker Ali won the toss and chose to field, giving India the chance to set a target. World No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma was in sensational form, scoring 75 runs off just 37 balls with six boundaries and five sixes. He added 77 runs for the first wicket alongside Shubman Gill who contributed 29 off 19 balls.
The 41-run win confirmed India’s place in the Asia Cup 2025 final. They will face the winner of Thursday’s Super 4s clash between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
If Pakistan prevails, it will mark the first ever Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan in 41 years, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated summit clash between the arch-rivals.
